Kolbrún Klara won the grand prize this year

A record number of rounds were played in Regluvörður 2026, the golf game by Vörður and the Golf Federation of Iceland, with around 7,000 golfers signing up to play. This year, 117,000 rounds were played and 3,400 golfers earned the title "Regluvörður 2026" by scoring over 6,000 points in a single round.

Regluvörður 2026 is a new and improved version of the game that was released in the spring. The game allows golfers to improve their knowledge of the rules of golf in a fun way, test themselves on hundreds of questions, and earn points for themselves and their golf club.

A draw was held among those who earned enough points to receive the title "Regluvörður," and this year the winner of the grand prize is Kolbrún Klara Gísladóttir. She receives a week-long trip for four to Villaitana in Spain in partnership with Golfskálinn, as well as Golf Protection from Vörður for one year.

In addition, the playing partners that Kolbrún Klara chose to have in her group and join her on the trip to Villaitana in Spain will each receive a full set of golf attire from head to toe from Golfskálinn.

Golfklúbbur Ísafjarðar wins the golf club points competition

This year also featured a points competition between golf clubs, and it was Golfklúbbur Ísafjarðar that won, having proportionally the most Regluvörður participants among their members.

The golf game is also intended to draw attention to Vörður's Golf Protection, a tailored insurance for golfers. It provides coverage against unexpected incidents both on and off the golf course and, among other things, allows golfers to properly celebrate with their group when that dream shot becomes a reality.

Vörður is also one of the main sponsors of the elite sports fund Forskot, which aims to make it easier for competitive golfers to train and compete under the best possible conditions.
