Warned about a doctor's office in Gran Canaria

Due to the large number of fraud cases we have received related to the medical clinic Clinic Diamond on the island of Gran Canaria, we want to issue a special warning to people against seeking services there. The clinic's staff have made it their practice to push unnecessary medical services on people, for which they charge exorbitant amounts.

This is the first time in Vörður's history that a warning has been issued against a specific business abroad, and hopefully the last, though another insurance company in Norway has also issued a warning about Clinic Diamond.

When people need medical assistance while travelling abroad, we recommend that they visit the overview page of SOS, where a list of recommended clinics in each country can be found, or that they contact their insurance company.

More detailed advice can also be obtained from SOS by phone or from your insurance company.

It is important to remember, however, that in the event of an emergency, people should always call an ambulance directly.
