Vörður’s Annual General Meeting was held on March 19, 2026, and here you can find financial and non-financial information related to the company’s annual accounts.
It is Vörður’s mission to be present for the community and provide people with peace of mind through innovative and creative thinking. With this in mind, we focus on product development, and during the year we made several changes to insurance terms and introduced new features in our policies. Notably, we launched maternity coverage, which is now included in all Vörður health insurance plans, and violence protection, now part of home insurance and corporate employee coverage. These innovations address needs that have existed but were not previously covered under our insurance terms.
Vörður’s operations performed well in 2025, and for the second consecutive year, the combined ratio was below 90%. Premium income grew faster than the market, continuing the trend since 2017. Investment results were impacted by a challenging stock market, but the company’s overall profit for the year was just over ISK 2 billion, with a return on equity of 13.7%.
We are optimistic and will continue to provide our customers with outstanding service.
