An optional vehicle insurance that covers significant damage to your own car in the event of an accident for which the driver/owner is personally responsible.

Insurance can be complicated. To make things easier to understand, we have compiled all the key information about the insurance in an information document that can be viewed with the terms and conditions.
Damage due to collision and running over.
Damage due to rollover and falling.
Damage due to fire or explosion caused by fire. It is not considered a fire if the flame does not spread freely.
Damage due to theft or attempted theft and vandalism.
Damage due to a storm, if a vehicle is blown away or if the hood, trunk lid, or doors are blown open.
Damage caused by mud or flooding, landslides, avalanches, strike actions, or riots.
Damage caused by racing, driving competitions, or practice for such driving.
Damage caused by sand, gravel, ash, pumice, or other loose earth materials blowing onto a vehicle.
Damage caused by stone chips from the road or from another vehicle. Stone chips refer to the event where a stone or stones are propelled into a vehicle and cause damage to the surface of the vehicle.
Damage to the undercarriage, engine, and electrical equipment of a vehicle due to the vehicle bottoming out while driving, driving into a pothole or rocks, or another object bouncing up under the vehicle.
Damage to or theft of any kind of additional equipment on a vehicle, e.g. phones, GPS devices, charging equipment, radios, cargo lifts and cranes on trucks, ski racks, bicycle carriers, loose luggage racks and camper shells, unless otherwise agreed and stated on the policy certificate.
Loss or theft of car keys, remote controls, access cards, or other similar access devices.
Damage caused by ordinary use, such as smoking and consuming food and beverages in a vehicle.
Damage to trailers or other equipment or devices connected to or attached to a vehicle.
Damage caused by water flooding into a vehicle, or part of it.
Scratches, dents, impact marks, bends, or friction marks that do not affect the usability or safety of the vehicle. The criterion for impact on usability and safety is whether the damage causes the vehicle to receive a revision notice or a driving ban in the inspection certificate during a mandatory inspection.
Many drivers are familiar with having a stone hit the windshield of their car. If the windshield can be repaired, Vörður will pay for the repair in full, saving you the risk.
