Is the crack within limits?
If the damage is smaller in size than an ISK 100 coin and not in the driver's line of sight, there is a good chance that the windshield can be repaired.
Put the sticker on
Wipe over the damage and then put the sticker on to stop the crack and protect it from dirt and moisture.
Report the damage
After you have put the sticker on, you must report the damage to us and go to the nearest windshield repair shop.
In 2021, the rate of windshield repairs was only 11% compared to 89% where the windshield was replaced. This corresponds to about 40 tonnes of glass going to waste and 40 tonnes of glass being imported into the country.
