Vördur supports the Women's Shelter

Vörður has entered into a sponsorship agreement with the Women's Shelter for the next three years. The sponsorship is part of the journey Vörður has been on, with an increased emphasis on welfare, safety, and support for people in circumstances that have not previously enjoyed insurance protection in Iceland.

This includes emergency assistance for victims of domestic violence, which was added to traditional home insurance last year, and the introduction of support leave for employees dealing with difficult circumstances due to violence, which recently became part of accident insurance for employees.

The Women's Shelter plays an important role in Icelandic society by providing shelter, counselling, and support for women and children who need to flee their homes due to violence. Through this support, Vörður wishes to contribute to that important work and reinforce the safety net provided by the Women's Shelter.

The collaboration reflects Vörður's vision that social responsibility lies not only in words but also in purposeful actions that can make a real difference when it matters most.
